    My niece and her friends are Barbie mental. This film has a decent audience with kids and some niche audience with people and families wanting a light-hearted comedy.
    It has a fairly moderate budget so should make it's money back.
    Although even though Robbie is top tier for us, I have no idea why they cast a woman in her thirties and a man in his forties to play barbie and ken.

    it's certainly not going to win any awards, but i don't think it'll be quite as bad as people think

    the cast is pretty strong and greta gerwig is the writer/director and she's pretty darn good and highly regarded

    i think it'll exceed expectations and be rather entertaining, but again not going to win any awards

    I assumed that Barbie was 20-22 and ken was maybe the same but a google search says that Barbie is 19 years old. So not Margot.

    Half the high school characters in movies are played by actors in their late 20s/early 30s. Take Mean Girls for example, where the characters are supposed to be 15/16 and yet are played by actresses ranging from 18/19 (Lindsay Lohan and Amanda Seyfried) to 26 years old (Rachel McAdams)

    Besides, they could really make Barbie any age they wanted. What's most important is the actress looks right for the part and is believable, which Margot is.
