Times have changed and laws have been passed in the US about posting that kind of stuff. Some guy in Florida was arrest for posting fake images, something that used to be commonplace.

 

More than just the dude in Florida that got charged with 16 felonies for taking clothed pics and running them through an AI generator to help naked

"promotion of an altered sexual depiction without consent" got signed into federal law few months back

 

Yup. Pretty much posting nudes of any kind, real or fake, is illegal in the US without consent of the person in them.

 

The law is still playing catch-up with the new tech. This kind of thing was not really an issue until fairly recently.

And yet, no one gives a damn. They can whine all they want. If they thought no one gave a shit about us downloading music, wait till they see how little we give a shit about what they want, or what laws they make about looking at naked women. Not only will we keep doing it, we will revel in it. We will enthuse over it. We will jump for joy and spin around in circles over it.

It is also technically illegal to have sex if you are not married. The US, and the world at large, make a lot of stupid laws that no one gives a shit about, and certainly aren't going to obey.

It occurred to me that this month will mark ten years since the original Fappening. Memorial Day Weekend 2014, to be precise. I wonder if there's any chance of an "anniversary celebration" with new drops.

I remember that era! I stayed up all night in case of a DMCA and went to work half-asleep...then I accidentally refreshed my browser at the office (forgetting I had just arrived, because JLaw was still in my head) and the admin flagged it!
Fortunately I was not disciplined as I quickly closed the tab and they probably let it be (maybe I wasn't the only one who made a mistake that day?)
