    Dude, you don't actually believe that, do you? The true skinny came out back when Batman Begins opened. Her engagement/wedding/alien union with Tommy boy overshadowed the launch of the film, so the studio was pissed at her.

    Add to that the feeling that maybe they should get an actual actress for the emotional scenes in TDK. All this shit about her choosing to go one way, and the studio casting around for a replacement; it's all polite sophistry from the studios and straight PR bullshit from the Xenu-freaks.

    She made her bed; fuck her.

    Harsh? Yes.

    She didn't exactly ruin the first one, but I was stoked when I heard they gave Maggie the part instead for the sequel. MUCH better actress.
