    Same. Probably a crazy person, but hats off to him for really caring about the art of film making. Guy's an adrenaline junkie for sure, but he's also clearly passionate about delivering top notch action and stunt work. The jump off an airplane while thanking the audience for "allowing [him] to continue to entertain us all these years" was particularly noteworthy given the video came out after the pandemic and the film industry was on the rocks.

    That, and the aforementioned Lea Thompson nudity. (And that South Park episode is a classic! I couldn't believe they got away with that.)

    This can not be emphasized and praised enough.

    The respectful cherishing treatment Maverick in TG-M & Ethan Hunt in the last 3 Mission Impossibles is the profound antithesis of the vile hateful ruination of Luke Skywalker, Indiana Jones, John Connor & others.

    I imagine Cruise's enduring star power & influence is the only thing protecting his characters which after Dead Reckoning underperformed I am happy Final Reckoning might be Hunt's farewell. Get out before the character can be degraded into oblivion.

    Sorry for the late reply gents, just saw your posts!

    Totally agree, Tom's mostly likely extremely crazy, definitely a next level adrenaline junkie (can't imagine how any of his films get insurance?!) But ya gotta admire his dedication to taking his craft to the next level

    He apparently did 6 takes on the same day of the scene in Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part 1 where he rides his bike off the cliff, and did most of his own flying in Top Gun Maverick.

    Legit beast. Helps that I've enjoyed almost all his movies!
