Oh, that's adorable. And those are so delightful.

 

I never played part 2 of the last of us, but from what I've read I assume she is going to be dealing with a healthy amount of hate during this upcoming season of the tv series.

 

I think the 2nd game is actually better then the first, though I'm in the minority there. I loved the first game (and thought they did a fantastic job adapting it the first season), but I think the 2nd is a masterpiece, just a superior piece of work in every way. I have a huge amount of faith in this team to adapt the second game just as well. The hate is ridiculous, especially for an actor playing a role. Laura Bailey, who played the role in the game, was given such a disgusting amount of hate and had threats against her life (and her young child as well!), I'm amazed she didn't have a mental breakdown. And half of those dipshits hadn't even played the game, they just were jumping on the hate bandwagon from some leaked footage. Dever is gonna crush it though, she's one of the best actors of her generation. I think they are prepared this time around to protect her from all that nonsense.

 

I think the problem is they've already said they aren't following the game.

The showrunner Craig Mazin says stuff like this all the time, especially when asked if they're going to keep some of the more "controversial" aspects of the game. I bet they will keep most of it close to the source material, deviating only for small stuff and expanding other things like they did with the first season, but for the most part keeping the story the same. Everything shown so far looks like they haven't strayed from it at all, but I guess we will see soon enough.

Which is exactly what they said about the first season and covers things like the Bill episode or the flashback to Ellie's mother. Yeah, they make small changes but the core of the story is the same.
