All the best on her battle with the kidney problems she has. Kudos to not hiding the scaring.

 

I read up on her story and it struck a nerve with me. My Mom died mainly due to kidney disease and failure, she was obviously not in her early 20s or an elite athlete but the symptoms Sunisa described flashed me back to the months before my Moms diagnosis; loss of strength, fatigue, sudden weight gain and swelling. It didn't happen overnight and yet the symptoms did seem to be sudden at the same time, her kidney failure was predominantly due to untreated severe high blood pressure over the course of many years. She had to undergo dialysis three times a week the remainder of her life, have fistulas put in her chest first and then later her arm, though Sunisas scarring indicates more than needing that, as it looks like some major surgery has taken place in that region. Her talk of how depressed and alone she felt after her diagnosis fits my Mom too, I tried to be there for my Mom but it's hard cause how can you relate? Luckily, she bonded with some other patients and great medical workers in that field.

A neighbour of my mom and dad had a sudden kidney failure. It was a quick series of events. Theh got the hospital but it had already gone to far. It was around 5 days starting with back pain. So yeah it can be devastating if it is bad.
