So when does she go topless? She needs to do something after the backlash from Snow White, there is nothing on IMDB after that, nothing in the works, no in production, no post production. Just wondering how she gets it back

If you knew a little about her aside from her looks, you'd know she's a super talented singer. Since Snow White she has made her Broadway debut in Romeo + Juliet and is now doing Evita in London. As for movies, she has an upcoming movie called She Gets It From Me with co-star Marissa Tomei. She has no reason to resort to nudity. It's annoying how people think this Snow White movie ruined her career when it's just getting started.

 

She's been in six, about to be seven, movies and the reception for them range from mild success to outright bombs whether you're looking at it commercially or critically. She might just have a very successful career doing plays, but her movie career is on life support. So that John Wick "Yeah, I'm thinking I'm back" is very premature on her part.

 

Time will tell... by the way there is a post on here with her in a see thru dress/slip showing her in just bra and panties for those that want to look

 

No, Snow White didn't ruin her movie career, but that is because there was not much to ruin to begin with.

Snow White was supposed to be her "big breaktrough" that puts her on the map and makes her a big star... but considering it will end up loosing Disney close to $300.000.000 and with everything else that obviously didn't happen. Combine that with the fact that EVERY movie she was in so far ended up loosing money for the studio that made it and her movie career could be on life support.

 

Reminder that it's basically impossible to judge a movie's success or failure in the streaming age. We have no transparency about how much money subscription streaming, digital purchases, rentals, blu-rays, etc bring in. A lot of movies that do poorly in theaters do really well at the home because those are the kind movies people like to wait for streaming, so box office can be misleading. Unfortunately, until the studios actually show the money they're bringing in from all the home market stuff, we won't ever know. It's strange to me that they don't put these numbers out, because it's win/win. It makes their movies look more successful, and because they look more successful, they then attract even more of an audience.

 

All she had to do was simply play the part and not add to the already bad publicity the movie was getting through not casting dwarves (which Peter Dinklage is to blame for saying that casting people who suffer from the condition for parts like this is outdated.....even though many in the community have outright said that their acting careers rely on said parts. The guy's an idiot.) and casting a tan-skinned actress as Snow White.

Disney already had its back up against the wall with this mess and then she had to go and say some really silly things during the production which threw things further into chaos. Now it may have still possibly been somewhat salvageable with the movie if she just remained tight lipped upon witnessing the backlash but instead, she double down.

Not a good look and the audience agreed. Its not entirely on her though, the movie itself was an utter dumpster fire but I still believe the flames could have died down somewhat if damage control was put in place and she was told straight up what she could and couldnt say on a PR level for the movie.

All in all, it was a mess from the start and Rachel continually pushing the buttons of both the potential audience and film execs didnt help it in the least.

Sure, no career to begin with, just 6 really low budget indies in 4 years, at age 24, and currently the lead in the biggest musical in the world right now. Hope she's ok...

 

Gotcha - she shouldn't been brown skinned. And she should have known her place, been a good girl and kept her mouth shut, and everything would have been groovy with the film.

I am sick and tired of seeing every Rachel post be bombarded by idiots bringing up Snow White and mentioning her career being over/ruined because of it. Idk if mods can keep an eye on this and delete comments because it's exhausting.
