    The project was very advanced, there was already a director and a screenwriter. Alicia was ready too. But filming couldn’t start on time because of the COVID pandemic. The studio had until May 2022 to launch production of the movie, but it never happened. MGM lost the rights, permanently burying this sequel. It’s now in Amazon’s hands, who are supposedly developing a live-action series (apparently with Sophie Turner as Lara Croft).

    Horrible casting. Lara Croft is a badass. Sophie Turner has no persoinality. Theres no way she pulls off Lara Croft unless they totally change the character.
