Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    I think this is a tribute to a recurring joke on the Kenny Everett show on UK TV in the 70s/80s(?), very avante garde and outrageous for the times. Kenny Everett was a very funny, very camp DJ and comedian (think kinda like the DJ Robin Williams played in good morning Vietnam, very outrageous). "It's all done in the best possible taste!" was what we would now call a meme!
    Mods I hope the you tube link is OK to explain the joke - this type of humour doesn't get aired these days
