This mindset is baffling. Vikander and Turner factually are flat or small chested, how the hell is calling that out in relation to the character proof that NO other actress would be sufficient?
Why are you acting like large breasted actresses do not exist? Like LPD73 said 2010s Hayley Atwell would have been basically perfect.

Would you cast John Goodman as Batman? Wanting a character to retain something close their iconic body type is perfectly reasonable and you can value sex appeal in entertainment without it having a single thing to do with masturbation. I would trade my favorite pornstars entire filmography for a single full nude scene from prime Atwell despite being unlikely to fap to it.

I like both Jolie movies perfectly fine.

Because like Power Girl or Jessica Rabbit it simple IS part of her iconic visual identity. It's like taking the S off Superman or the Punisher not using guns.

 

Why is Phoebe Waller-Bridge so hated now and blasted as having no talent? Does anyone not remember Fleabag? That isn't even close to my type of show and I thought it was awesome.

Not sure if this is the appropriate thread but on topic, Tess Kielhamer made a fitting LC in some Bat in the Sun fan films.

 

- Her droid character (which she had a hand in writing) in Solo - A Star Wars Story was a insufferable caricature of far left SJW type activist but the film did not present such as a negative.
- Her character in Indiana Jones & the Dial of Destiny was a mean spirited sociopath who left Indy to die and laughed when his friend was murdered. The film treated Indy in a nihilistic hateful manner and similar to the treatment of Luke Skywalker in The Last Jedi people perceive that mistreatment as being in service of propping up Helena/Rey to pander to radical feminist in the audience.

Her playing/writing those 2 similarly awful characters has made people believe that she self inserted her own far left personality into them and they fear she will do so again with Croft, especially after she said this quote:
"There's room to do something really quite dangerous," she asserted. "And if I can do something dangerous and exciting with Tomb Raider, I already have an audience of people who love Lara and hopefully will continue to. And that is a very unusual position to be in. It's the old Trojan horse."

That "hopefully will continue to" shows that she is fully aware that she is plotting something that will likely offend fans of the games and yet she is going to do it anyway.

I am sure her Fleabag writing is fine (never seen it) legitimately good writers can be tragically handicapped by their extreme activist politics. See Ta-Nehisi Coates, his Black Panther comic run was fantastic but it was almost entirely focused on Wakanda and so he never had much opportunity to put his more typical anti-police/anti-white/America hating evil propaganda in it (he said the 9/11 first responders were not human and deserved to die, DO NOT tell me he does not hate America)

The entirety of the beginning of the US is full of contradictions. "We the people" means "us free, white people", and ignores slavery. It meant men, not women, regardless of color. The history of the US is rather complicated if not uncomfortable, I think most of us would agree with the spirit of how it emerged was right, even if the reality was more of a gray area.

I like the character but he is not even close to being among my favorites at all. I read 1 Punisher run (Ruckas) and that's it.

You realize comics have been left wing for their entire existence, right? Even punisher knows he's not exactly a good guy. Just doing bad things to bad people, yeah?

Depends on the comic and the writer. And not all left wing positions across nearly 90 years of comics are even remotely equally morally acceptable.
Classic X-Men: Giant terminators lynching us is bad (objectively moral message)

Professor X & Magneto are meant to tribute MLK & Malcom X. The problem is society has accepted MLK was right and yet modern X-Men writers are making the X-Men massively more and more Magneto adjacent despite Magneto being immeasurably more extreme & evil than Malcom X. That is not morally acceptable.

Again depends on the writer but stopping bad people from raping and murdering innocents is factually not a morally bad action.

This comparison is asinine, Lara's tits we see every time she is on screen. They are a core selling point for the character. Batman's dick has been shown ONCE in 89 years.
