But I know the most, so let me tell you, Einstein, that no one said they were AI-generated. What people said is that they were shitty scans that were cleaned up with Photoshop/AI and upscaled/enhanced with AI to the point that they look like digital paintings. Hope that helps.

I am one of the mods who intervened. Phun's Celebrity Photos sections has always been a place where native HQ pics are the default. Anyone passing off AI or Photoshop edits as HQ runs the risk of having their stuff deleted.

I am going to summarily delete AI nudify stuff if I find it in Celeb Photos or Celeb Extra. If it's original content (meaning you personally prompted the AI), there are some AI threads in the Creative Backyard where it might fit.

Just trying to explain. I would actually welcome some organic feedback from members on how they feel about AI upscaling and AI de-tagging being posted in Celeb Photos. Is it slop? Is it "good content"?

I think as long as the source image is posted alongside any manipulated version of the image it's probably ok. People can then decide which they prefer without extra work for the mods.

I detest AI de-tagging very much, worse than tagged pictures personally. It's disappointing seeing previews of a celeb I like, only to find key parts blurry from de-tagging when open the pic in full. It should at least be mentioned in the thread title similar to how "tagged" is required.

AI upscaling is harder to say, it can be harder to detect as the tech gets better. Source content would be preferred or include both and clearly separate them if in same post.

AI "enhancement" literally deformed Alyssa Milano's face. It does not only upscale a pic, it modifies textures and shapes so much that in the end you cannot say it's the same person anymore.

So you create this stupid thread to call the mods out and say you know more than everyone because you've been a fan since she was 11/12. What does watching her back then have to do with the photos posted? We all know the original shoot is real. Then you don't even acknowledge that everyone in this thread noticed the AI upgrading/colorizing/adding stuff that wasnt even in the originals and just say you like her boobs and belly button and not even her face. Okie dokie.

Also seeing that I'm the only one to notice or at least mention all the AI/Photoshop bullshit going on in the pics like footsteps in the sand missing, cracks in the sand changing, shadows changing, blurry stuff not in the originals, fake hair, looking like a painting. I'm gonna say I know more than you.

@YourPalJustin That's really cool that you didn't shut down this thread immediately, which is something most of us would understand. While I agree that A.I. belongs in it's own space, there are obviously photos in most threads that have been retouched, filtered, etc. I honest don't know where the line should be, but again, I appreciate you allowing the debate.

If I may suggest, could we make it a requirement for uploaders to note if an image has been upscaled? Adding a tag may be a bit too much, but it could also be an option. I know several already do this, and I am grateful for that extra effort.

As AI becomes more and more popular and accessible, accidentally deforming original images by passing it through several upscalers becomes a real risk to the archiving and reposting of older content (case in point, Alyssa Milano).

(Disclosure: I sometimes post upscales but I make sure to explicitly note the upscale. Those should be considered "end images" and not used in the future as a reference for another upscale that may end up replacing the actress' face and body to the point that it is no longer comparable to the original source image.)

I think it would be more fair to put an AI section in the Celebrity part of the site ( alongside Photos, Extra , & Movies ) ... burying it way back in the Creative Backyard means hardly anyone ever see's it and sometimes alot of work goes into the creations - even with AI's help .
as long as it's a thread just for AI improved original pics ( not loads of fake nude shit ) .

I used to contribute some AI stuff last year in the Creative Backyard section. I personally don't see a reason for it to be moved "out in front." Being fair, a lot of the AI stuff that people post is slop. The stuff that comes from all the "nudify" websites are usually worse, but people doing work locally produce some really bad stuff too, all the while thinking they are masters. And even if they are the best of the best, the tools are changing so rapidly that stuff from 6 moths ago all looks horrible anyway.

I have also contributed colorized versions of B&W that are already posted and as long as it's listed as modified (which should already be obvious since the sources are in the same thread) then I don't see a problem there either. De-tagging seems pretty benign as well, unless you are de-tagging the "naughty bits" which is just another "nudify" move.

Since they are already gone, I don't know if the Alyssa pics were posted in the same thread or a new one. Appending to an old thread doesn't seem overly egregious to me. At the same time, I have done my own work on the original Alyssa pics I assume we are talking about and they never come out very good, and that is primarily because there is no good way to get around the very bad quality. It's like the "ENHANCE!" on a TV cop show. It's really not a thing. The information is there or it's not. So you get something that looks like a person that might or not be the person you want and with a body that might simulate what the person looks like, but yeah, then it's just made up with some elementary guidance. It's not "upscaled."

Frankly, if it's an all or nothing thing, AI doesn't belong in this sub at all. AI should absolutely not start a thread anywhere except CB. OTOH, if you want to be lenient, an AI poster could to is provide a link to the location back in CB showing some of the stuff they made. I have a feeling that if too many people start posting content directly into threads, it will start to take over. One thing that is constant in the AI world is that everyone thinks they are the best at. They are all wrong, LOL.
