    All due respect to her, as I like her, but I hold out hope that this movie flops. Seeing early spoiler reviews saying it is not good and feels like it was partially written by AI, fuck Spyglass.

    I don't know, Kevin Williamson wrote and directed it, and given he's the guy who wrote the original ones, this one seems like it could be much more "faithful" (if that's the right word!) to the concept than the last couple, which I felt were sort of "money grabs", trying to just exploit a popular title. I'm checking it out today, so I guess I'll find out.

    It’s not. It’s about as far away from the OG as you can get. Others have said it and I agree that it feels more like a Stab movie than a Scream movie. I was entertained, I had fun while watching it but so much of the movie was trash and laughably bad

    I liked it, a lot more than I thought I would (I'm usually super suspicious of "7th in a series."). I thought it was more slasher than I expected and tamped down on the meta, and because of that the meta parts worked for me better than they did in the last couple of entries (not surprised, since it was Kevin Williamson doing it and not someone trying to be Kevin Williamson). Also had a nice take on AI, won't spoil it, though. I'd recommend it.

    Primary thing that matters to me is that they don't waste, disrespect or kill off Sidney, IMO easily the best slasher final girl off all time (and I say that as someone who otherwise feels the Scream series is overrated)
