To be fair, that's true of pretty much everything posted to this thread - it's just that the lighting here might be making it more obvious

 

That part of the vibe of the show -- all the girls overwear makeup because in their world they think it looks good. Syd's character, in particular, consistently over the seasons changes her look based on what others tell her to do.

true but it’s her character. this season has been crazy. can’t quite believe she’s agreed to do this sort of stuff at this point in her career tbh

 

As said: She had creative say on Season 2 years ago and for sure has it on Season 3, now that she has become such a huge star in Hollywood and is always so involved creatively on the projects she’s in. She should really be lauded for her involvement in the conception of the ideas. Plus, these bits are all extreme twists on the persona she puts forth in her shoots and IG posts, where she offsets the sexuality with cutesy trappings.

IMO, Sydney kinda seems to be saying "fuck off, dipshits, I win because I look like this, and you all look like the view".
There's nothing quite so humiliating as "you suck, because of this" type narrative.
Dumbass hollywould shouldnt have bitched at her for jeans. Now she's showing them why.
