  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

I'm having an issue with pixhost images not loading in, on both mobile and desktop.

Yeah, it's been up and down for the past day or so. Currently it's down.

That works, but all the pics hosted on the .to site are now dead it seems.

    Pixhost posted the following message:

    The TL;DR version:
For whatever reason, Pixhost's DNS provider has disabled lookup for their primary domain.

It might be a temporary glitch that clears up in a day, but it's more likely a longer term problem - assuming it gets resolved at all. The server is up and works just fine, but you'd have to use the IP address instead of the name. The temporary(?) solution is to use their alternate domain name.

The issue for Phun is all the links in the database are hard-coded to pixhost.to, which means that 10's? 100's? of thousands of embedded links need to be updated to pixhost.cc by an automated process (if it comes to that). Hopefully Pixhost can regain control of their domain, but I recommend Phun's Tech Devs make a contingency plan in the meantime.

Is it even possible to change ALL the .to codes to .cc codes on Phun posts and threads at the same time?

I don't know anything about the structure of the Phun database, but it's likely technically possible. For instance, if it's on a SQL server the search and replace statement is probably easy to write. But it could bring the database to its knees, especially if attempted in one fell swoop. It's something the DBA would/should do (database administrator).

And yes, I am a webdev :D. But not a DBA.
