INFO Image Host Discussion

For warez sites servers need to be located in NL or RO. Worst countries to host a warez site USA France Germany Italy Spain Greece England and 3 Asian countries.
Worst type of warez sites to run over the last 4 years video streaming sites like live sports tv movies and tv show,ebooks, anime comic books. Music download site are 40% safer than they use to be still not saying it is the safest in the warez world. Two Safest are adult content and a unlicensed internet radio station playing copyright music. If you run a internet radio with max of 35 listen at a time you will never get busted the stations they are more likely to go after have a min of 150 to 200 listeners at time and the stations making some $$$.

 

On another forum a PS super mod says most of the sites were run by the same group of people and Motherless was run by someone not part of the same group this pure BS. The super mod is just trying to cover his rear because of what Motherless was hosting. There was a group of 2 to 5 people that split the cost of hosting so all the sites were on the same host on the same server rack. The group fully knows who was running Motherless they did not exactly know the content the site was hosting. If Motherless was run by someone totally not part of the same group then the site would been hosted with one of 8 to 12 different hosts. I put 35% to 40% of the fault on the host for allowing the site to have the type of content that got the server raided a good host 2 or 3 times scans all sites hosted for underage rape hacking terrorist content if found the hosting will delete the site and banned the admin the host should have done this but there were lazy as hell.

 

I am new here and hope I am in the right forum. It seems that imagebam and imagevenue have been the primary hosts in old posts. Before I registered I've clicked hundreds of old posts and only saw the images defunct... Is there a date of reference where I have a better shot of seeing actual photos in the posts? Thanks

If ran Imgbox and I had a full very recent backup I would wait 2 to 4 more weeks for the heat to die down before I restored the site.

 

At the very least, this update means not having to wait as long while checking a site to find out "is it back yet?". Now we're on the "wait a few weeks" schedule that is the norm for those sites to get back going.

There's speculative things I could type out but I don't know enough about hosting or servers or LE investigations to really offer that in front of people who could know more about those things.

Hopefully the DMCA attorneys who spend a certain amount of their weeks sending notices to the downed sites don't get too lonely waiting for things to return.

Goonbox really suck the UI is awful there is no page numbers that you can click on and it is run by a admin of forum who is the worst admin of any forum in the history of the interne. I not gonna say this same of the forum I will say it is close to Simcity

first there was BBS, fun but slow.
then we had usenet, then googly fucked that up completely,
then IRC, which still sort of exists.
then web-forums, which were good, but you didnt load images there, just links, and with links shut down... are sort of screwed.

say good bye to non-private to outside links forums.

the cops are saying "cp" which is probably bullshit, but people believe it, which does the same thing.
but it lets them get away with wiping ALL the servers for normal people under it.

put it plainly, the nude online pics/vids just got wiped.
it started with the antiAI crap, then they tried digital-id for under XX, none of it had a hope of working, so they did it this way.
kill they servers, kill the industry, restrict folks back to ads only crap.

face it folks, our Vegas days are over.

As someone that doesn't extend my social circle on the internet outside of this site, should I be worried that even though Phun is on the up-and-up it could be closed down as well? Not sure how I could deal with that, as I really feel like I've made some good relationships here.

I'm glad the board isn't making any rash decisions and is giving at least a little bit of time for the hosts affected to maybe get their shit in order.

Better than trashing all the posts affected. Normally we allow people to repost on a working image host in those threads anyways.

Sometimes, 'wait and see' is the proper course of action.

Which is a good sign. I don't know how many sites in that family of websites never moved to https but I also think that there's a 'Church of the Holy Sepulchre Status Quo' thing with some older sites where if you move a chair across the room or change some part of the site, things will randomly break.

 

It's a great thing that Phun bans the type of content from being posted On Phun. The content being posted on Motherless sounds bad.

even if, "if" hosts move it will still fuck up all the posts for tons of sites for years.
we've had problems with new servers that lots of folks joined up with that disappeared 2 years later...
there was one here, I cant remember the name tho, imagehaven?
decent guy, was trying, gone.
old time places that delete pics after a little bit, medium place, long term storage. go back and look at posts here from 2005-06.
then there were other forums that have since gone titsup.
celebutopia and superiorpics.
celebcity and robbs.
those were normal, but this is different because they're hitting storage spaces.
and you just dont bother with googly, it sucks, so you have to go thru ya.ru to find plain old pics, and they have more crap on there than all the euro stuff, but it finds pictures if you vpn to them thru an eastern euro other end.
Is there a ton of stuff I dont touch? of course there is. But I lived thru binaries on usenet years ago, none of this stuff touches that. (or if it does, I aint interested/dont go near there).

 

Going to sound entirely "kiss ass," but that's because this forum has some great moderators. I've noticed that there are always a couple if not more online here and they are quick to intervene when necessary. That might not always be the case in the future, so we should enjoy while we can.
