Well, she didn't get the role of her favorite Disney princess for the live action version of Tangled, so maybe doing those shoots and wearing the dresses she did in some events the past few days are a sign she's shifting directions.

 

I have mentioned this before, but I think everything we are seeing from her is carefully planned, by an army of image and career consultants, agents, handlers, parents, etc., and of course to some degree, her.

She is probably the hottest property right now in the acting business. She has over 80 credits, almost half being the lead actor or sharing the lead, all by age 20. I am sure she is expected to make $billions for the studios across her career, so her entire public presence is carefully managed.

Of course I am not a H'wood insider, so this is just speculation. But the money is everything to those who can profit from her.

 

I agree with this. A sudden shift in outfits for events points to this at least. Agents and managers will always try to direct the actresses' careers in the direction they think it's gonna make more profit, both for the talents and for themselves. Young, beautiful women will always take this step at some point, even if they don't go all out with nude and sex scenes. I think a similar thing happened behind Sadie Sink's Calvin Klein photoshoot.

 

it wouldn't shock me if she is telling the truth. Maybe she will be a non -nude actress.

 

She's 20. Maybe when she's 30, 40 or even 50 we can complain about her being a non-nude actress

She is being carefully positioned as acting royalty so forget about her doing anything barring franchise roles for the next 8-10 years.

 

something about her has always seemed like a mormon gone sexy to me. i highly doubt she'd ever do a nude scene...i mean look at the briefs she's wearing in these pics. they're "sexy" pics objectively, but not the same level of "sexy" compared to popular actresses/singers of the last 20 years

 

To be fair, those outfits in the shoot are chosen by the magazine's clothing department. The actresses and models only say yes or no to wearing them.

Well, in any case, Mckenna is only 20. There's plenty of time for her to change her opinions or for something unforeseen to happen. Like, would she refuse a really good and challenging role just because it has nudity? Those things can happen.

 

I could see her going the Anne Hathaway route where she winds up showing her tits once to facilitate the transition from teen roles to grown up roles. Hathaway said she wouldn't do nudity at first. also.

 

I hate to say it, cause it's a too frequently used term, but she just screams 'industry plant' to me. The way she suddenly became THE top young female starlet just tells you some wealthy types chose her to be a superstar (the casting couch is known as a thing for a reason) Her recent interview where she craps on nudity and sexualized roles shows she knows she is the anointed one and has no reason to put effort into anything.
