    i doubt that Erro etc. don´t know about DOF and such.
    Erro is one of the "masters of post-production" (and very often i don´t like his smoothing, brightening etc) - but the aimed use of "unsharpness" is probably an "artistic expression" - pretending closeness between model and viewer, for example.
