Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads.     That definitely makes a difference. I don't know if it's the embedded "meta data" in some of them or not, but I find that just dumping 100 pixels from the width/height makes a huge change in the file size. :D
