    im as english as it gets and we didnt conquer the world single handedly it was done with the blood of english,scots,welsh and the irish :) we all had a part to play as for feeling guilty about it i dont im just not in a rush to brag about 300 years of war with most of europe and 2 world wars and thats not even starting on what we did to the usa when thay made a dash for freedom ;)

    Conquering a nation should not be a source of national pride. I think people from the Uk take more pride in our invention, tenacity, style of wit and ability to drink other nations clean under the table.

    See... That's just what I'm talking about. What would have happened if your ancestors had not engaged in war and WON! It was a dangerous world then, and it's a dangerous world now. A lot of small countries set back and ignore the rest of the world and hope someone else will step up and fight their battles for them. I happen to be from America's heartland, and I'm grateful for all that GB did to shape our country. We love you guys over here, but on the other hand, we hate the French (mostly because they hate us), don't trust the Russians, and are glad as hell that we are not speaking Spanish right now. As for the Revolutionary War, stop feeling guilty, because we're over it. ;)

    Are you taught this non-sense in the public school system? Because our history books don't blame your country for the ills of the world. :2cent:
