    only problem is they might take away the thunder of the other sports like basketball and baseball. although college baseball sucks anyways because all the good recruits are scouted and signed to the majors while still in highschool. :lol:

    the playoff with 16 teams idea i came up with that off the top of my head. :p

    actually when you have just 8 teams the team that is ranked 9th or 10th might complain that they can be a top seed contender. By making it to 16 teams you know for sure the chance of a 17th or 18th ranked team has almost no chance to win it so they can't say we could have won this. Just makes more sense to me to eliminate excuses or people crying foul.

    Yeah, I've heard 4, 8, and 16 team playoff numbers thrown around. 16 might be a bit much to start with. Sounds like if they ever did this, they would start with 4 or 8, and see how it goes from there.

    this is because baseball has no age limit as to when a player can be signed. I know the NFL said a student must have 2 years of college before they can be signed because at a young age their bones are still developing and can cause harm if drafted to soon. that was why Maurice clarett sued the NFL and won to get drafted.
