Yes i hate them....they are annoying...they are usually from the...how to put it..the undeveloped/poor areas of Athens...

Really?We rarely deep fry food...especially fish....but fish and chips is a combination here...

Down here it's pretty widespread amongst Greek-Australian males between the ages of 15-25, regardless of socio-economic background.

Yep, when we had mass Greek immigration, they introduced fish and chip shops all over Melbourne.
They deep fried everything (fish, chips, potato cakes, dim sims, spring rolls, battered savs, scallops etc.)

It's become one Australia's favourite junk foods, but sadly all the old Greek men who ran the shops have retired and now they're run by Asians, who, as i said earlier, just cannot cook fish and chips.
