    alright this is the last comment i'll make cause i am sure i am annoying people...i do realize this is not a tech board.

    salty, i realize it must end in .001 and .002. i think the problem is that the .001 file is being recognized as a .asx file. i can rename it, and i have, but it is still recognized as a .asx, not a joinable, hjsplit file like the second part.

    if anyone knows how to correct this, and make it so i remove the .asx association with the file, please let me know. if not, i appreciate the help from those who replied.

    Well, I used 7 Zip to open this and it worked fine. Most likely your problem is that Rapidshare crapped out before completing and the file wasn't complete. So re-download it.

    If that doesn't work, I don't know what more I could say to help.
