    Just went and saw this, it could have been an amazing movie if they didn't f*ck the chronology up at almost every turn. Even with that it was far better than Underworld 1 and as good as if not better than 2.

    If you recall from the first film, Victor admitted that he had killed his daughter Sonja (Rhona's character in the new film) because she had an affair with Lucian the Lycan, and was pregnant with his child.

    When Victor killed Selene's family, he adopted her because she reminded him of Sonja. The fleeting glimpse we get of Sonja in the first film looks like Kate.

    So it's logical to tweak Rhona's appearance to match.
