    I fully support this movement. I think women should be free to do with themselves as they wish. And if they wish to reveal their breasts then I'm fully for it.

    The irony is that, in New York state, where this protest took place, women already have the right to go topless anywhere men can.

    That is true, however, there needs to be a public reminder of this equality; that typically is done via demonstration to insure the greatest impression and impact on uninformed minds. If you do not exercise your rights you will lose them and/or people will forget them. It is still considered taboo for women to go topless in NY, despite the legality of the situation. People are products of their environments and social mentality, therefor groups like this have a goal of social change in mind. Back in the 1920s it was taboo for women to smoke cigarettes, especially in public. It took a massive demonstration in NY (of all places) to change the public's opinion of woman's equality. Not only did it make city wide news back then, also national news as well the very next day. It put everyone at the crossroads, you either supported equality for women or you didn't. It worked out brilliant and look what we have today, no one has a notion to even be offended at a woman smoking a cigarette. Movements such as this will have the same affect.
