I believe PETA is more about getting attention and being in people's faces telling them how wrong they are and patting themselves on the back for being so "enlightened" then actually caring for animals.

By constantly making such fools of themselves, they're hurting their cause! How many people are proud to be meat-eaters knowing that they're sticking it to these fanatics?

I wasn't defending PETA as an organisation; I have little knowledge of or interest in them. General comments were made about animal rights in general, and I responded in kind. I don't know if all the comments you make about PETA members are accurate; like I said: I've really no interest.
