Back from my meetings......Wednesday golf is no longer At least for a while anyway. Said he'd try to work something out in a few weeks or so but for now - 1 last week then it's gone.

 

At first I thought it'd go to Rio. Now I'm second-guessing myself. I'm leaning toward Madrid.

 

We knew that was coming. I'm sorry bama.

What do you mean expensive? I'm hourly, if I don't work 40 hours I don't get paid. His reasoning was 1 - nobody else has a "flex" schedule, anamosity and 2 - coverage. Worried that things would come up that afternoon and no one would be here that could take care of it. Which that happens a good bit, I have to quit where i'm at and come back to work.

Noooo, it's only me from the dept. and it's 0 expense to them. Helps them actually because if I don't make my time up they don't have to pay me for whatever I was short.

But, if You make Your 40 hours a week anyway, does it not give You the right to have some hours off on Wednesdays ?

I can understand where he's coming from. No one else ever had a work week with hours anything different than Mon - Fri 8 - 4:30 so he just didn't want it to look like I had favortism. He said he was going to try to work out something that everyone had a chance to have a schedule so that they could break the work week up. Problem is - everyone would want the same day....Friday. So to be fair to everyone it'll be hard to accomidate.

Friday am is good, but there are other days to make something nice with.

 

Nah, he's new...Still learning his was around this dept. and we've all worked here together for a long time. I'll be patient. I feel like in the future i'll be able to do it again - he assured me that he himself had no problems with it but for the dept's sake he thought I needed to stop for a while till he figured out a better plan. I'll go along for now.

Crazy but i'd rather take the time on Wednesday....not just because of golf but because it breaks the week in 1/2. See, 1/2 way through you get to take a breather - then go back Thurs. fresh.
