Kind of. It's a unknown artists radio/download service where the artists get the $$ for their work instead of the labels. I've found a bunch of things i like on there.

It's a built in app in linux, kind of like shoutcast used to be on winamp before they corporatized the life from it.

Nah, even 1 pic is worth it, if you're happy with it. It's not as if 95% of users would create anything to post in the first place, or have much of an idea why or how you accomplished it. Post the top 5 and watch them fade into oblivion in favor of the latest pop-fad of the week. There's a few that will appreciate quality work instead of the latest filter/canned process effect.
