    by what i read the wwe was trying to control maria's career outside of the wwe. anything she did had to run by the them. she didn't agree with it and so vince/wwe decided to part with her, releasing her from her contract. she's now a MMA announcer for HDNet.

    The real breaker was when she did an interview for Sun. She said that eventually she would like to do something other than WWE. That's when WWE figured, "well she's going to leave us anyway", and bam. WWE told her they weren't happy with the interview before they let her go though, so she went back and said that her future goals were far down the line...but it was too late.
