    guys - i figured it out!

    the problem is that the hyphens do not work when you copy/paste in the pass to winrar. if you type it manually...it unrars like it should.

    Thanks, vipp. This led me to connect Avtvmn Westln to Kaylin Fox even though I can't find any references that say they are the same person. I've compared the tats and moles and there's no doubt. I will have to update my info on her as Kaylin in my Floppies thread. I'll link your post.

    yet another reason why 7-Zip is the superior solution. 7-Zip does everything that hjsplit, winrar, winzip, and every other program mentioned on this site can do, and more. 7-Zip has been able to handle every file i have ever downloaded here ... including wonky passwords, split files, broken files, etc.
