    Rapidshare has made changes to their hosting and billing schemes. Not sure all the implications, but seems a less attractive option. Once my current "Rapids" credits are used up I'll likely not with them.

    RS got busy enough that they no longer have to give points or "cash" to encourage posters. Enough of us got tired of waiting to DL and paid them a few sheckels to not wait that now they expect people that use their hosting to pay for it. "Mass posters" are angry because they still want free access for their multi-Gb of files, so they are moving to the lesser hosts (which in some cases ARE getting better).

    Pause a moment and consider what will happen to HF, SM and others as they pick up the increase in storage, traffic and bandwidth use (see the "technical difficulties" comment a few posts above, for example). By summer's end I expect RS to regain much of its prominence as those other hosts change their policies.

    Just opinion, of course.
