More likely than not Herb, more likely than not, but I assume you'd agree that drunk driving has the potential to kill the innocent and she deserves punishment for it no matter whether it 'helps' her or not? Maybe it will help deter someone else and at least during the time she's incarcerated (as short as that's likely to be) she won't have the potential to kill someone else with her irresponsible behavior... Also, I fear that you're right, there IS something fundamentally 'off' in her head, possibly sociopathic.

In fact... If Lindsay doesn't exhibit all but possibly 3 or 4 of the following traits and PUBLICLY at that, I'll eat my own hat....

I just had to even out all the made up stuff with some actual understanding of the situation. It's her life and we are following it with our own personal perception of the events.
We all have the same death sentence. Looks like she's having a hell of a good time for some jail time and later, yes she may die like Heath Ledger (pissed me off him being so stupid)... who cares, it's not our life to enjoy or ruin.

OH MY GOD!!! Everyone I know behaves like this at one point or other... except myself. Guess I got lucky.

 

Thanks for supporting my argument. And yes, DWI/DUI does deserve the appropriate punishment. She deserves far more than the two or three weeks the media expects that she will serve, with the rehab time to follow. If she were to do this shit in Arizona or Texas, she might have far more severe regrets. But it's Cah-lee-phonia.

 

I'll just assume that your being deliberately dismissive of the fact that she has exhibited these traits for several years and not 'occasionally' like some of your *ahem* 'friends'.

 

I could be wrong here, but, from "paying attention" to the news, isn't she going to jail for violating her probation? If she hadn't, she still wouldn't be in jail for DWI/DUI (which I do think she should be serving time for).

 

What do you think she got the probation for?!?! Now you're just being deliberately obtuse.

Yes I am being dismissive. From the first time I saw the freak show call Dr. Phil, I’ve had a low opinion of “pop” psychology of individuals from dubious third party observations. That list is practically useless without context. My point is I can see that list manifested every day in everyone without even trying. Sorry, I don’t agree with you on this one.

If you thought I was disagreeing with you on the other points, not quite right – my point was that we both can be equally wrong because as much as we’d like to think we have all the correct information… we don’t.
So, I’m done having fun with ya all. Just now and again I have to vent on this pop psychology so many folks think is valid. The fact you guys think she’s in jail for DUI proves the point, she is for something else: violating several probations related to but not for the DUI. Don't think so, if she hadn't violated her probation, she wouldn’t be in jail. Your being obtuse by ignoring she has a lighter sentence because it’s not for the DUI.

 

I'm sorry, but anyone who defends this twit at this point needs a serious reality check. She's never taken any of this seriously, and never will. She is a young Woman who's gone off the rails (just like many others) She not killed molested or physically hurt anyone!
