    newbies: note that file .003 is a 2 part rar file in this bizarre format.

    unrar to get part 3 and then join all 5 parts with HJsplit

    convoluted.........................

    These are playable parts!
    If they had to be joined with HJsplit the filenames would be like xxx.avi.001, xxx.avi.002 or xxx.mpg.001, xxx.mpg.002 etc.
    001, 002, 003 ... would be the extensions!
    These files are playable avi files - avi is the extension. The numbers 001, 002 etc. are only numbers. 5 vids and numbers between 1 and 5. They belong to the filename.
    Only video003 had been splitted into 2 RAR-parts because I tried to upload the whole video003 4 times and every upload faliled a feW seconds before it was finished. So I splitted it and it worked.

    So: Each video is playable - only vid3 had been splitted into 2 RAR-parts!

    Oooops! You are, of course, correct, HondaHelix. I guess this can be what happens when dinosaurs (me) are allowed into the modern world. Had my nomenclature reversed - obviously. Apologies to any and all that I confused. There are 5 playable parts to this movie.
