What is this culture of going into somewhere to buy a drink to carry around in a paper cup? It seems that some celebs get up in the morning, go to a coffee house and get a drink there.

Don't people make tea and coffee in their own houses anymore?

    ^^

I get out every day to have coffee! Of course, there's no paper cup coffee here to be found... It's all espresso served in tiny porcelain cups. Anyway, I don't see what's the big deal about it.

It annoys me. I understand someone going to get a drink that is rare of hard to make or anything of that ilk but i think the morning coffee culture is bred through pure lazyness. Anyone can make a coffee in their house but they don't bother.

I hate it and always will ;) Everyone has things that annoy them.

I really cant say that celebs dont have as much free time as the 9-5 daily workers of the real world, so she is certainly capable of making her own coffee, as is everyone else for that matter, but the truth is most people will pay for convenience, and its pretty obvious that when you go to a gourmet coffee brewery like those found everywhere in SoCal, you are going to get better quality coffee or coffee related beverages than you are going to be able to make in your own home with a simple Krups brewer. Not everyone wants to pay 500 bucks for a home cappuccino/latte machine. I dont drink coffee at all, i dont like the bitter taste of it, but i do know that a Starbucks coffee tastes better than a homemade cup of Folgers. IMO, of course.

A lot of people also like the social aspect of going into a coffee place, being seen, seeing people, just generally "getting out" i guess.

Totally agree. Of course anyone can make his or her own coffee, but I guess it works like an excuse to get out. My excuse for my morning espresso is because it's on my way to work and I really like the waitress that serves it! ;)
