LOS ANGELES (LALATE) ? Jessica Simpson?s spending is again prompting concerns. Jessica Simpson?s engagement ring is a stunning Neil Lane creation. But a new report claims the ring, valued upwards of $200,000, may have been bought by Simpson, not Eric Johnson. This follows reports that Simpson wants to marry Johnson without a prenup; Johnson?s current employment status has not been reported by news.

In April 2009, Simpson?s spending on Tony Romo turned heads. Simpson reportedly bought Tony Romo a $100,000 birthday present. On Simpson?s birthday, Tony Romo instead gave her something else: notice he wanted to breakup. News has yet to confirm if the boat was ever returned to Simpson.

The boat was a 25-foot Malibu Wakesetter 450 horsepower speed boat. Reports at the time said ?Tony loves speed, and with all of the horsepower in his new boat, he can go as fast as anyone on the lake. Jessica knows that Tony has always wanted a boat?. In 2010, Forbes reported Simpson?s shoes and accessories have been earning Jessica $500 million in sales, annually, for multiple years. That is compared to Sean Diddy Combs? $500 million and Jay-Z?s $700 million annual numbers.

It's hard to properly figure out what a performer's wealth in because we are not aware of all the deals they engage in and how they spend their money. They could have overseas deals, they could have private performance deals, etc. etc.

I completely forgot Jessica had a clothing line and a whole bunch of other things as well as performing. She hadn't has a hit record or tour in a while, but if she is getting significant loot from other resources, then who knows?

It's all about how you invest it as well.

 

Jess has a lucrative deal with Macy's that's her biggest money maker that I know of. She can be seen in their commercials.

According to Women's Wear Daily, it all started five years ago with a Jessica Simpson Collection shoe line and since then has expanded to sportswear, denim, swimsuits, watches, fragrances and plenty more.

While practically every star (and their daughter) has a fashion line out now, the singer turned actress turned designer has outlasted many of them because of her "girl next door qualities, says Vince Camuto, CEO of Camuto Group, which licenses Jessica's products. "People look at her as a style icon."

Uh, style icon is a pretty big stretch, considering the babe's red carpet misses far outweigh the hits, but Jess is totes accessible and likable.
