    All of my RAR archives use RAR Recovery Records (usually 3% to 5%).
    If you get "corrupt archive" messages, use Repair Archive in WinRAR
    WinRar => Tools => Repair archive

    I feel like a bigger noob than Jalla... I've downloaded twice and still can't extract.

    Where, exactly, is "Repair Archive in WinRAR
    WinRar => Tools => Repair archive"?

    I have no such options on (free version of) WinRAR window and can't find reference to same on WinRAR's website.

    It's in the Tools menu as stated above. Alt+R does the same trick. I'm not sure if it's a part of the free version though.

    On my (free) WinRAR window I have *no* menu whatsoever. No "Tools," no drop-down menu, no options, no nothing.

    About 1/2 of my recent phun (filesonic) downloads won't extract.... Still trying to figure out why.

    You could try 7-zip (free). It won't repair rar archives though.
