    dont need to be in for 4 years to be lance corporal =p at most maybe a 1 year or 2 but if your in the marins for 4 years and still a e-2 then you make e-3 youre doing it wrong

    yeah they really only get longer once you're getting around e-4 + which corporal and up where it starts at the Jr. NCO level where they start requiring certain things but up to e-3 it's almost automatic to get it now
