Kate arrives at Vancouver airport. She's getting ready to shoot Underworld 4.

He's getting ready to shoot Total Recall with Colin Farrell. But I know what you mean and I'll second that.

Thanks for those! I'm definitely looking forward to seeing her on screen again anyway. Seems like ages since she had a film out.

She just got through shooting Contraband with Mark Wahlberg, and after Underworld 4, she has another film to shoot where she plays a lawyer. So we'll have more to look forward to.

From what I've read, they are not remaking Arnold's film, which in my opinion is highly overrated. They're making a film on the Philip K. Dick story "We Can Remember It For You Wholesale" that Arnold's film was very loosely based on. They are simply using the Total Recall name because it's a known commodity. I don't like when Hollywood apes titles like that, but I'm definitely interested in a more serious, faithful adaptation of Dick's work.

Hard to believe, but Total Recall was made more than two decades ago.

I loved Total Recall. It was ballsy as hell if cheap looking.

And Kate the great looks like a goddess with that smile.

Oh I like it. But some people herald it as a classic or as some great piece of cinema. It's not. It's typical Arnold schlock, with the same poor dialogue and same bad acting.

But I still like it. But a classic? No!

    :wtf1:

i just saw Total recall a week ago, and it was as awesome as it always was. they dont make actions movies that good nowadays. real blood packs, tons of foul language, great action, midgets with machine guns, mutants (not like the prettyboy ones in x-men) and of course 3 titties girls

Come on down from Mount Oscar and realize that a movie doesn't have to have the things you listed to be a classic. Total Recall may not be Goodfellas, but it is most definitely a classic.

It's a fun film. But it's not a good film judging by normal criteria. Acting, dialogue, screenplay, etc.

I'm probably not the right guy to even comment on the film, because I'm a big fan of Dick's story. The main problem I have with the film is that is was loosely based on that story, but wasn't faithful to it at all.

I'm not a fan of Philip K Dick. I think he is blown up by fanboys who love his film adaptations more than the actual literary work. Overrated.

jesus talk about starting a debate. i saw Total when it came out. for the time, like T2, it was amazing. the face scene; the x-ray scene, on and on. for what it was/is, there was nothing as futuristic as it was.

and it is a classic. just like Blade Runner is. that movie is way older than Total Recall is and no one chastises that film, or T2 for that matter. or will they??...

    Aaaah !!

That's because Blade Runner is a classic, and a far, far superior film to Arnold Schwarzenegger shlock. Hell, Predator is a better film than Total Recall.

If Total Recall is a classic, then standards have fallen off a cliff. It is not worth of being deemed a classic. Fun movie? Yes! Classic? HELL NO!!!

    We'll just agree to disagree.
