    You've probably seen a pic series or two of her riding in a bike marathon or riding for charity, well, that was it. That is, a bike accident recently. The reason the cast looks sorta'odd is because it is some sort of high-tech cast that has an ultrasonic device embedded in it that stimulates bone growth; ie, supposedly, for quicker recovery.

    An alternate explanation is...that it's an air valve release, like on inflatable Rib Boats. If you were to go up to Erika and pop that sucker open, she'd deflate. I don't advise testing out that theory, though. Number one, you could get hurt, arrested, and subsequently become VERY embarrassed by the pap'coverage of your action. Two, maybe the real Erika is long gone and this is an inflatable version. Mind you, I would like to have the real Erika around but if all we can have is an inflatable one, I'd rather you not deflate her. We might not get her pumped back up again.

    I'd probably go with the first explanation, though, safe bet.
