Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads.     I've never tried one. My guess is that it would take a few weeks of ownership to get used to one. I like a good book, though, because I can keep it on a shelf and just enjoy looking at it. It's a tangible, real item.

    I consume my information in other ways - but I have held and used a Kindle, there is no real difference in using it and reading a book. It appears the same, is not back lit and doesn't seem to cause eye strain.
