What's Up With Rapidshare? + New File Hosts

for the people who know.

this is the exact reason (above quote) for all this happening and what is going on with others more or less of course since we never be always sure.

Of course companies (filehosts) should report whenever needed.

 

Can no longer dl from Filesonic with Firefox (with Adblock Plus) as of last week. There seems to be an ad covering the slow dl button.

 

Don't know about anyone else, but rapidshare has been smokin' fast for me recently and I don't have to wait at all for the downloads to start.

 

Probably because your the only one using it.

Filesonic of course. Hotfile has great speed but the way they delete uploader's acct so suck.

And Fileserv, oron has been BANNED from phun

I hope phun can add ul.to to trusted host. Great speed for EU users

 

Rapidshare really has removed all the waiting and stuff for free users. You get perfectly adequate speeds when downloading, and there is no wait at all before you can begin the next download.

I wish they had just done this to begin with, but I'm happy enough with it now.

 

Yeah Rapidshare is now for me as a free downloader much faster than other sites as premium.

I get download speeds of 9-10 MB/s. Everytime, no matter what time of day. I get 1-2 as premium from Oron and Filesonic.

There seems to be no downloadlimit what so ever. None per hour and none per day. I can get files up to at least 400 MB.

Totally free. Only downside is the 1 file at a time limit. But when a 400 MB file takes 30 sec or so I can live with that.

I know Rapidshare screwed up after being the big site a couple of years ago but if they keep this up (which I doubt they can afford) they will be right up there in a very short time.

As far as i know you only need one prem acc for this forum because almost no one uses the other hosts for obvious reasons. Anyway there are websites that allows you to download from almost all filehosts, is a bit more expensive than a having a single account but that could fix your issue.

I'm also a downloader.
And I treied some premium memberships.
I still have rapidshare,filesonic and oron.
I will definitly finish ORON account.

I simply say= Please never take Oron/// I think only Oron have limitation on downloading. And it is only 20GB,,, can you believe this. I pay money for premium account and 20GB download then my account is suspended(for 24hours ,,sometimes more) And Oron sujest me to buy another account(**)/

I tried Hotfile too,,but after low sue issue hottfile has deleted too many files.I had no chance to use Hotfile. It's been pity since Hotfile is one of the fastest here in Japan.

I stick to RS and filesonic. Filesonic has no problem now except for the fact= I sense that filesonic is trying us(member) to buy the other filehost she owns too..I hope you understand what I mean.
I never think about Deposit file=slowest and worst service,, nor MU= first and best service for freedownloaders

I use Real-Debrid. Cheap, and fast file-hosting. Has something like 83 file-hosts supported. All fast too. Need FileSonic? Done. Need MegaUpload? Done. Need Hotfile? Done. And 80+ others to choose from.

 

HotFile just banned my account too.
Just before I was about to get my first payment.
What a coincidence.
What a pack of fcukers.

 

It's a bit of a worry that hotfile logged uploaders and downloaders ip's, even if the mpaa aren't interested in going after individuals other companies might be later on especially now that they know such detailed records were kept.

Does anybody know what some of the other filehosters do as far as logging?

I use filesonic but it's hard to tell from their privacy page whether they can match ip's to individual downloads and if so how log they keep the logs for.

I guess it's probably just safer to assume that when push comes to shove they will all sell out their customers to save themselves.

 

Does anybody know how long magaupload keep your file ?

I keep getting Timed Out since Saturday.

And that is with a premium account.

Unless reported, MU keeps files for at least 90 days after last d/l. However, I have several files still active from over a year ago w/o a d/l since then. :?

 

Hrm... just tested one of my FS links as a free user just now - seems to be working OK.

 

I joined filesonic for a month and it's been constantly slow. It was really good for about a day. Now's 89.8KB/S.

When they take down the FS server(s) for maint, they really put a cramp on everyone's style. Wish there was a way they could inform us when and how long this maint will take. 95% of the stuff is FS! What a bummer!!!!

 

What is up with FS? I have been experiencing slow DL speeds for well over a week. I am seeing 1 hr DL times for 300mb. And that is with a premium...

They can't be doing maintenance for that long, can they?
