    She's a beauty. I look forward to seeing Game of Thrones again. Although her poor character isn't treated too kindly. Few are in those books. With her looks she should have a bright acting career ahead. Then again, I said the same thing about Anna Popplewell. I haven't seen her in anything of late.

    I have wondered, since Hollywood often casts 25+ year olds as high school students, why they would cast a young teen Sophie in such an adult role? Her character is sexually degraded throughout the early books and there is no way she can portray many of those scenes without either severely curtailing them, or using a double. Perhaps she just blew them away with her auditions.

    That was my thinking as well. The preview for season 2 shows Joffrey ripping off her top in Court, but I suppose just cutting away t her face or something can curtail the nudity.

    while it is technically possible to film a nude at 16 i believe there are extra conditions for it that would probably prevent it in Game of thrones. if you say i'm wrong thora birch was 16 in american beauty when she did a topless scene.

    If it's not sexual in nature it's ok. Her being humiliated isn't sexual(for most people).

    You know, if any network had the balls to show underage nudity, it would be HBO. I doubt they will. The potential fallout is not really worth the hassle, but they seem like the boldest of the content producing networks.

    Game of Thrones could do a topless scene with her if they so chose to. Child exploitation laws wouldn't prevent them from doing that. Even if it's sexual in nature, there's nothing illegal about it unless it's exploitative.
