    Well, that is true, but as evidenced by how many child stars and starlets crash and burn as adults, we can find some consensus in the opinion that celebrity can have some tremendously negative effects on a child's development. While no one is absolving Ms. Bynes of her wrongdoing, there's no harm in recognizing that the odds of her ending up as a well-adjusted adult were slim to begin with, and lamenting her unfortunate lot in life.
