    I don't think it has anything to do with arrogance, or even talent, it's just the state of affairs in media these days. Skin has to look perfectly smooth and flawless like molded plastic or porcelain, and eyes have to POP and have this unnatural brightness added. It's only going to get worse too. It's really a sad state when a woman as gorgeous and naturally "otherworldly" as Kristen can't appear in published media without a coat of varnish. Pathetic, really.

    But it's only going to get worse, and I could rant about the media trying to skew people's expectations for beauty (not just for women), but I will save that for another time. :)
