in my opinion You should allow DF and also uploaded to - this second site change owner from 1.04.2012 and also change reward for uploaders...soon it will be the best uploading site because many uploaders really like actual rules so..... please add uploaded to! - it exist from 2006 and always pays!
filesonic and others don;t treat uploaders so good like ul.to.... they run and ul.to still exist and still pay!

I have used deposit files recently (as a free user) and it is terrible. Any file over 100MB will take the better part of a day to finish.

I'm assuming this is true for the premium, though can everyone vouch for their service?

Maybe we should all pitch in and rent our own servers and start a file-share. Just saying....

It seems like the ul'ers and the dl'ers clearly have different preferences, but ultimately we need each other.

Whatever you do, don't approve rapidgator or any other hosts that pay. We don't need this forum flooded with a bunch of garbage posts from people just trying to make a buck and don't really care about sharing.

In my opinion don't allow only one host, allow at least 3 or 4 new hosts, this way more uploaders will be happy and bring quality stuff.
This is one of the best forum and needs more variety, there is another good host filesin.com, maybe you should check that one too along with rapidgator and others.

yes there will be a lot of people who post a lot of older videos, but how many of those videos have live links in this forum right now? probably not a lot.

on the flip side, you will get good posters who post things 2 minutes after they are released. You might not get those good posters if it is not on a host that pays.

So there will be some good things and some bad things over picking a host that pays. Like i've said before, just make the max posts per day 5 instead of 15. You will still get a lot of posts of older videos, but not as many at 1 time. And at least they will be live links.

I agree with pokerplay24. I know a lot of people would like perfection, fast file hosts with zero cash uploaders. But that's not going to happen. In order for the file host to have the money to maintain fast transfer speeds, they need to have a cash incentive to get uploaders to post to their servers in order to attract paying download customers.

Cash hosts bring the good with the bad. The good part is a lot more links to new material. The bad part is duplicate posts and a lot of old material. IMO, the good outweighs the bad.

I did a thought experiment, would I prefer to go back to the time before Megaupload was raided and Filesonic, Fileserve and Wupload ended file sharing? That would mean lots of new material but also slogging through lots of duplicate posts. I'd go back to those days instantly.

Today the non cash file hosts are overloaded, the flow of new material has fallen to a trickle and a huge number of clips were lost when Filesonic and other file hosts wiped out content on their systems.

It was better before, even with the nuisance of the cash uploaders.

they made an announcement back in Feb that they are shutting down because paypal froze their account. Now they changed their minds and continue their business.
Nobody knows if they pull a similar stunt again, best is to stick to established hosts like rapidshare. They are experienced in the filesharing business and have deep pockets for legal battles.

What's the point of Rapidshare? They limited speed for free users.

Sorry I disagree. I think you can get the same results from a quality host that doesn't pay. Take Rapidshare for example. You know why noboby is using Rapidshare now? Because they are still holding out hope of making a few bucks from Hotfile if someone buys a premium account from their download link. Right now I'd even eliminate Hotfile and IMO you'd still get the same posts, they'd just all be on Rapidshare.

If you limit the hosts to hosts that don't pay, you will still get new release videos. Maybe not in 2 minutes, but likely in the same day. The ONLY reason you get a post of a new release within a few minutes of it's release or even sometimes before it's released on a site is because there is monetary gain to be made by that uploader. Eliminate the monetary gain and those new release vids will still be posted, maybe not in a few minutes after it's release, but in the same day. So you're encouraging phun to institute paying hosts simply on the premise that you can't wait longer than 2 minutes to get new release content? Me I can wait.

It's real simple, just say no to any host that gives monetary gain for uploading. And I'm sorry, but reducing the daily limit won't help. You'll have people abusing that rule just like they abused the 15 limit rule. You'll have people register multiple accounts to work around the 5 per day rule. These cash host spammers will do ANYTHING they can to maximize their financial gain.

Me I care about quality over quantity. Take the thread started by mokkoriman. You can get posts like that of new release content from all your porn sites just by using rapidshare as you can any of the paying hosts out there.

Its still faster than Oron and Hotfile.
Rapidshare also takes it merry old time in deleting files, since they are in Switzerland :) they cant be messed with by abusive goverments.
Mediafire is the same way in taking forever to delete files but its download speeds are very fast and can download many files per hour.

Must add that Oron and Hotfile are some of the worst hosts ever.
Oron has downloads capped at 80KB per sec and you have to wait a whole hour in between downloads.
Hotfile has limited speeds and have to wait an hour between them and they delete files from their servers
rapidly as if they are being reported for copyright violations hourly.
Most stuff posted on Hotfile lasts only a few days if that.

d/l speed is limited to several factors; time of day (server load), ISP and location.

For me and as a premium user, RS use to be great. Now, my d/l speeds are all over the f'n place (from under 50 Kbps to about 300 Kbps, when it use to be in the upper 800 Kbps).

Same with DF. But as a free user, DF really is slow.

MediaFire was good for a long time, but they recently deleted all my links and are also suspending accounts.

Tried to access Z-share.net (the other approved host), but so far, no luck (keeps cycling, then timing out).

HF wait times vary, depending on server load. I have had to wait anywhere between 15 to 30 minutes. But, HF deletes files so damn quick, the file is usually gone by the time I get around to it. For me, hell would freeze over before I used them as a primary host.

Tried RapidGator a couple of times and so far, not impressed. d/l speed has never gotten over 100 Kbps. Same with MegaShares.

For me, Oron (gasp) has actually gotten better. d/l speeds have improved from around 100 Kbps to about 400 Kbps.
