Paul Heyman is back in WWE?!

I haven't watched wrestling in yeaarrsss.

 

He returned a few months ago as Brock Lesnar's legal representative.

I think I saw that Brock was back. That's pretty cool. Is WWE looking anything like it did in the late 90s yet, or are they still kinda G-rated?

 

I've got some UH-MAZ-ING memories of ing to Steph all those years ago. May have to tune in if she's back again for old times sake

 

Still PG, unfortunately. Lately, a lot of wrestlers from back in the day have done one-off returns to help promote the 1,000th episode of Raw. However, I read they're considering continuing the one-off returns because the segments have done really well in the ratings. Hope it continues. I mainly watch now for the wrestlers who can actually put on great matches (Punk, Bryan, Jericho, Ziggler, Rhodes, ect.) instead of the segments (which I used to LOVE). I'm still holding out hope things will get better in time, though.

It's pretty lame with Brock back. They supposedly spent 5 million on the guy for a limited number of dates between the day after WrestleMania and WrestleMania next year, and I swear, they hired him just to get back at him for how he left the company back in '04. I think they're going to book him to lose each and every one of his matches during this return run, which is bad for business. He lost his first match back against Cena at Extreme Rules (worth seeing just to see Brock bust Cena open hard way MMA style, that match reminded me of the late 90s for sure!). Wouldn't they want to book Brock to win so that he looks like a credible threat to Undertaker at their rumored match for Mania next year? His next opponent is Triple H at SummerSlam, and I'll be shocked if Triple H allows his character to lose that match.

 

Yeah that's lame. Though I don't think they're beating up on Brock for personal reasons. They're probably doing it to show that pro wrestling is "better" than MMA. I mean, they used to push their MMA stars (remember Ken Shamrock? Even Dan Severn got a push), but they're letting Brock get his lunch handed to him. What's the difference? Well, in the mid-90s, MMA was pretty much dead as a television presence. Today, MMA is a legitimate competitor. So long as Brock is only here for a limited run, they might as well show the fans that WWE is ahead of MMA.

 

Did Steph get a reduction after the kid? Doesn't look as busty as she did back before whelping HHH's spawn.
