I was very very disappointed with her match against Serena. I understand that Serena is a great tennis player but Maria wasn't even competitive.

 

She literally could have just not shown up and it would have been the same thing. Pathetic showing.

 

Has those two sisters ever lost a game? I never here them losing so she must have just thrown in the white flag and said fuck it.

 

6-0, 6-1??? Maria should have had to give up her silver for that embarrassing effort. If Maria and the rest of the players are going to continue to just get rolled over and over with no resistance when playing Serena, they should just forfeit and spare the paying customers lousy one-sided tennis. There is no women's tour. Serena just laughs at everyone without breaking a sweat.

Memo to players like Maria, Wozniacki, and Azarenka: Instead of brushing your hair, putting on make-up, and doing photo shoots, try lifting some weights, developing some skills, and improving your game so you can actually resemble a professional when playing an almost 31-year-old Serena. You are disgracing your selves and the game.

Mexicola, Serena lost to Virginie Razzano in the first round of Rolland Garros--she's far from unbeatable (I think Lisicki would've had the best chance); Maria, however, has an unusually poor record against her. Give her a fucking break.

 

Besides, this is the reason why women and men should not compete in the same sports. I agree with Prince, give her a break. She did beat a man once and that is what launched her career.

Also, during times when those men lost, there was always an excuse of an injury. I'm glad Maria took this lost, got her Silver and left while saying congrats.

How long has it been since Sharapova lived or spent any meaningful amount of time in Russia??

 

serena is a freak. her work ethic since her surgery has been extreme, as is evident by her dominance. the only one that can beat serena is serena. the other ladies have to step it up, as has been said. but i'd love to lick Marias' ass.... not serena tho.... no likey black hiney...

 

This. Maria is a nice player, but she is not in the same class as Serena or any other past greats.

 

Serena is a fucking man. That's the problem.

 

I have a couple of balls Maria can smack around.

 

It also helps that both Williams' sisters are great on the grass. They own Wimbledon and have won all but 3 singles titles since 2000.
