    i finally saw "the hunger games" couple nights ago. very good flick, but the woman who wrote the book definitely ripped off the idea from the japanese "battle royale" which was a book that also got made into a movie. it's so similar it's ridiculous. also, the reaping scene made me think of the short story "the lottery". she took other people's ideas and made a mainstream love story(so twilight fans will get into it)around it. liked the movie a lot and jennifer lawrence can act and is gorgeous. just hate reading interviews where the author/creator of this claims she was watching reality tv on one channel and a news report of war on another and then came up with the idea for "the hunger games". bullshit, you ripped it off thinking nobody would know cuz "battle royale" is japanese you dumb bitch!

    i read that article just now and it doesn't change my opinion at all. she claims not to be aware of Battle Royale because it's the most logical thing to claim when you blatantly rip something off. Battle Royale and The Lottery she ripped off really obviously. she just came up with it from flipping the channels watching tv? yeah ok. they are so similar and it's way too great a coincidence. such bullshit. this has me torn now whether or not I should buy the movie when it comes out next week. i liked it and love jennifer lawrence, but i hate this bitch that steals others ideas and claims them all her own.

    havent seen hunger games, dont plan on it. ditto with the twilight series. i dont give in to the hype, the LOR and Harry Potter series were exceptions. star wars saga as well. my .02

    well, you can decide not to like something cuz everyone else does, but that's just a real stupid way of living life. it's not a crappy movie like the twilight movies. a guy could sit and enjoy it and not feel like his sexuality is now debatable. it doesn't get into the romance part of it at all until the second half of the movie and it's not that big a part of the movie. it's over 2 hours long and it flew by for me which means i enjoyed it. also, jennifer lawrence can act while kristen stewart can't act for shit. the only acting she's believable at is that of a slut in real life.
