    1st strike: it's a CW show
    2nd strike: it is nothing like the old show, which has pissed off said fan base -- the 'beast' is a good looking guy with a scar on his cheek who sometimes turns INTO a beast... because apparently having him look beastly all the time is against CW rules
    3rd strike: kristin kreuk is undeniably hot, but she is a terrible, terrible actress
