    Hej all. I'm currently having abeer and deciding what film to watch. Choices are...Se7en, Fight Club, Serenity, Leon, Snatch and Cabin in the Woods. Seen all of them, and stuck for which one to watch.

    a herc is a Hercules C-130 there pm. huge cargo plane, we have a bunch of steel to offload.

    When I was younger my dad took us to prestwick airport, just outside HMS gannet and we could see the Hercules taking off. As a kid I had never seen anything so big and to see something like that fly over my head was amazing.

    I watched "Manhunter" (the 1st Silence of the Lambs from 1987) a few weeks ago. It knocks all the other "Silence" movies off the planet, except for the Jodie Foster one.

    I've seen so many cool things Jamms, but the one that stands out was this 75 year old Pilot. we had a 35 knot crosswind directly across the Runway one day. he called up to the Airport and he said "you can check I am on final for the Taxiway" I was in my office like "whoa what the fuck our taxiway is only 600 feet long plus another bit for our Apron.

    after he landed he said "it was safer for me to land on the taxiway into the wind"

    I was like damn!

    I have hundreds of hours in the Jumpseat of the Plane sitting with the Pilots. I know all the dials and controls. one time I was flying with my 2 Buddies. we were talking. when they are taking off and landing you don't say anything as they are busy! they were going to call a 6 mile final. I told them "um Guys you may want to turn the fasten seat belts sign on!"

    the Captain said "oh fuck! then switched the microphone onto Cabin "yes ladies and gentlemen this is your Captain speaking we are about to commence our final approach please return your seats forward return the table trays locked and fasten your seat belts" then switched back to Cockpit only and said "holy fuck Jamie thanks for noticing that!"

    The coolest plane I have seen up close is an A-10. Totally a bad ass, butt kicking plane. That was about 20 years ago at an air show held here....

    To see a lynx helicopter make a dive to the deck of a navy ship is also quite impressive
