    Just to be honest, I'm not necessarily looking forward to the release of the movie. I mean, the odds are great that the pictures released are as hot as it's going to get. I highly doubt that these girls are going to have a topless pillow fight or anything like that. In other words, this is all just one big tease. I'll just enjoy the teasing now and not get my hopes up one bit for the actual film. :2cent:

    Without them, or similar starlet eye candy, this movie doesn't get made. Lets face it, this isn't Lincoln or Schindler's List, this is a chance to see these starlets in bikinis in sexual situations, period. The producers hope that their young fans will go to see it because they are in it, and males from the age of 12 to 80 will go to see it to, well, you know. So yeah, they do help it, if it was four girls you hadn't heard of this thing would have never been made.

    A good friend of mine was at Cannes and watched most of the films... She said that Spring Breakers was maybe the best one and she totally loved it, so who knows? Maybe it's a good movie, too.

    I don't think it will surprise too many of us if the best part of this film turns out to be all the bikini pics of the girls we saw for several weeks while they were filming. It doesn't sound like the film pushed too many limits - the 3way with Vanessa and Ashley, for example, isn't reportedly all that hot (quick kiss, some murky photography). I didn't expect the film to really go wild with the sexuality but unless the story was really good (which it reportedly isn't) it's unlikely this film will do much more than provide all of us with plenty of reasons to get off as we keep lusting after these hot babes in bikinis on the big screen.

    And for the record, I'm perfectly fine with that. :)

    Not that I know of. :D But she likes Harmony Korine, she thinks he's a great director and according to her this is one of his best movies. But that's all I know about Spring Breakers.

    First af all, I confused one festival for another: my friend watched Spring Breakers e few months ago at Venice, not at Cannes, sorry. It doesn't make a big difference, though... I didn't talk so much with her. She just said to me that in Venice there weren't many good movies, and Spring Breakers was the one she liked the most (she enjoyed Kim Ki-duk's and Kitano's, too).

    She also said that Malick's new one, To the Wonder, is terrible (and usually she likes Malick). :lol:
